Dental Testimonial

For many years, Joan has considered herself "dental phobic." When she was younger, she was involved in an auto accident and had most of her teeth cracked or knocked out. In this dental testimonial, she explains that once she discovered the advanced dentistry of our office in Lakeville, NY, she became more comfortable. Now that her complete makeover is almost complete, she will miss visiting us so often.

My name is Joan Whittaker. I am a retired school teacher. I have two grandchildren, and two on the way. I am a "dentalphobic" and unfortunately when I was young, I was around 18 years old, I was in an auto accident, and I lost teeth and some teeth were cracked. I didn't want to smile. I was ashamed of my teeth, and just bad dentistry in the past. I put it off, I cried about it, and I thought, "Oh my gosh, how can this be fixed?" Now, with Dr. Hirschfield and the advances in dentistry, it's just amazing. He's amazing. They know and understand my fears, and through education with them educating me and explaining things to me, they are just so gentle and kind here, and I knew I was in good hands. Finally, after all these years I was in good hands. I'm almost done with all the procedures in my mouth and its like, I'm going to miss these guys. I never thought I would ever say that I would miss my dentist, and I'm going to miss him. In fact, I told the hygienist this past week that I'm on the last phase of the last project and I'm only going to see these guys every six months.
